Cook GANT Rugger

The GANT Rugger Fall/Winter 2012 collection is intimately connected to the world of food. To me, food and fashion has a lot in common. Closest to any good restaurateur’s heart is the wellbeing of his guests and the minute attention to detail. At GANT Rugger we care just as much about the feel, look and fit of our clothes as any good chef does about his fresh produce and keeping his mise en place in order. I’m far from a professional cook, but I’m a passionate one. In the coming weeks I will share with you my very own recipes on a few classic dishes, food I have cooked over and over thru the years to perfection (according to myself, that is). If you have the audacity to think you can do it better, I challenge you to share your own take on the same classics. If you impress me your dish will be included in our GANT Rugger cookbook that will be released later this year. Good luck friend, you’re gonna need it!

Christopher Bastin, Foodie and Creative Director at GANT

Christopher Bastin

Christopher Bastin was born 1973 in Stockholm, Sweden. He started his career in the fashion industry in 1992 at the Swedish denim hotspot Solo. Christopher held various positions at H&M, Whyred and Acne as Product Manager and buyer before joining GANT in 2005, when he began his designer career in earnest. His first mission was to design a men’s shirt range. Working alongside several industry veterans, he learned the trade of fabric and garment design – kindling his passion for American Sportswear.

Christopher has been the designer and Creative Director for GANT Rugger, which was re-launched under his direction with the spring/summer 2010 collection. He was recently appointed Creative Director of all of GANT.
